Red Silks Racing was founded by racehorse owner Jonathan Williams in order to provide people with fun, affordable racehorse ownership. This is a non-profit syndicate - meaning those running the syndicate don't get paid to run it. We pay into the syndicate the same amount as any other syndicate member per share, and as such would share any profits that are left in the syndicate at the end of the syndication period (12 months from October 1st 2024).

We want you to experience racehorse ownership in an affordable and worry free way. We are totally transparent when it comes to the costs involved with racing and you will receive perdiodic updates on the syndicate finances (and can request an update at any time). It should be noted that there is no guarantee of this being a financially profitable endeavour. No syndicate can offer you that! But what we do expect is that you will have great fun following your horse in the fabulous Red Silks Racing colours. Going to the racecourse as an owner is a unique experience and we want you to share that with us.

Jonathan's Story

I started my ownership journey with a couple of shares in horses before taking the plunge and buying a hurdler called Buster Edwards back in 2017. Buster was trained by David Pipe down in Wellington, Somerset and had a flying start for us by finishing 2nd, beaten by a nose, on his British debut at Worcester. The elation of that amazing race soon turned to despair when it turned out Buster picked up an injury during the race. After a lengthy recovery period he returned to the track and gave us some fabulous days out, winning 3 times in 2019. The best of which was in a thrilling race at one of my local tracks, Haydock Park.

Living on the Wirral I was looking for a horse closer to home and so my next was trained by Jennie Candlish in Staffordshire. A much shorter round trip to visit him at the yard! Hachert ("Harry") won twice with Jennie and gave us some special memories.

My biggest aim is that Red Silks Racing will give you some amazing memories too and we really look forward to welcoming you into our syndicate. We will have regular visits to the yard to see The Toff on the gallops and I invite you now to sign up and come and visit him with me.
